Trinidad & Tobago Wildlife Management Partnership
Coming in 2019
OBJECTIVE: Behavior change for Biodiversity through Data-Driven Wildlife Management, Capacity-Building and Outreach.
PROBLEM: Wildlife crime is the world’s fourth-largest criminal enterprise after drug smuggling, counterfeiting and human trafficking. We will help governments and citizens of the southern Caribbean utilize Wildlife Enforcement Networks to mitigate the environmental, social and economic costs of wildlife trafficking.
GOAL: The goal of TTWMP is to create an empowered coalition enabling behavior change campaigns for activities that affect wildlife. This coalition includes specialists for:
-Establishing baseline measurements for wildlife trade and consumption.
-Building government agency interest and strategic information for supportive intelligence-led conservation innovations.
-Building capacity data collection, public outreach, wildlife crime enforcement, and protected area management.
